Tree Insurance Agency, LLC wants treeinsuranceagency.com to work for every visitor, including people who use screen readers, a keyboard alone, voice control, magnification or captions. If something on the site gets in your way, we want to hear about it, and we’ll help you get what you need by another route in the meantime.

Our standard: WCAG 2.2 Level AA

We design and build the site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines cover how a site looks, how it can be operated, and how it works with assistive technology.

What we’ve done

  • Text and buttons meet WCAG contrast ratios: at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and interface parts.
  • Color is never the only way information is shown.
  • Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline that shows where you are.
  • Pages use real headings, landmarks and labels, so screen readers can announce the structure and jump between sections.
  • Form fields have visible labels, required fields are marked in text, and error messages say what to fix.
  • Images that carry meaning have text alternatives. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Buttons and links are large enough to tap on a phone, and the layout works when text is enlarged to 200% or the screen is narrow.
  • Animation respects your device’s reduced-motion setting, and no content is hidden behind it.
  • Plain language throughout, with insurance terms explained the first time they appear.

We test with automated checkers, keyboard-only use and a screen reader, and we recheck pages when we add or change them.

Known limits

Some parts of the experience are run by other companies, and we can’t fully control their accessibility:

  • Online payments through PayPal and ePay
  • Insurance company websites, claims portals and policy documents, including PDFs the carriers produce
  • The online surety bond quote tool and other third-party tools we link to
  • Embedded maps

If one of these gives you trouble, call or email us. We can take your payment details by phone, read a document to you, send it in another format, or complete a request on your behalf.

Some older PDFs on the site may not be fully accessible. Ask and we’ll send the content in a format that works for you.

Report a barrier

Tell us what page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what happened. Include the browser and assistive technology you use if you know them.

We’ll respond within 2 business days. Our reply will say what we found, how we’ll fix it, and how to finish your task in the meantime.

Ongoing work

Accessibility isn’t finished at launch. We review the site when we publish new pages, and we treat every report as a defect to fix. More ways to reach us are on the Contact Us page.
